There have been several film adaptions of Mark Twain's classic children's novel 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer' from 1876, but this delightful 1938 movie, the first to be made in glorious technicolor, still ranks as the very best. The Amazon reviews seem to be about earlier versions. Just stunning. One of which, "The Diaries of Adam and Eve", is woven throughout most of the film.
